Profile
As a pioneer and disruptive innovator, Dr. Bing Sun holds a PhD from the University of Manchester (with Prof Graham Haughton) and serves as the joint director of the Shanghai China-UK Carbon Digital Lab. Recently Bing has been invited to many important roles both in China and the UK (see as below). Before growing as a leading talent in the field of Industrial Internet and Carbon Governing, Bing has accumulated over ten years of expertise. He theoretically proposed a multilevel governance framework for China’s low-carbon experimentation, while practically solving real-world problems through innovation.
Bing has engaged with many academic projects and has published widely in leading journals (Cities, EPM, Environmental Protection, Urban Planning, etc.). He has also owned over 35 property rights (patents and software copyright). His lab now operates jointly with top research institutions and industry partners towards further realizing the deep integration of expertise and AI in different service scenarios. It currently incubates a number of climate-friendly and tech-driven start-ups through to listing.
